Update

It's been a few weeks since I've updated my blog. So sorry!!! The first week I missed I thought I published the feed when I really didn't and last week I was swamped with work.
So here it is, the updated post.


Our Memory verse these last 2 weeks has been Colossians 1:16

I know this verse is a bit long, but your kiddos are super smart and I know they can do it.

This coming week we will be looking at Fish stories found in Matthew 17:24-27/ Luke 5:1-11 and John 21:1-14

We will also start working on a new Memory verse.
Luke 5:10-11

And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men. " So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.

Week 3 Cross

This week the children shared their extra credit designs and constructed crosses. If your child didn't bring in an extra credit project today but would still like to earn a ticket, they have 1 more week to turn it in.

*I distribute tickets to the kids who finish class assignments, homework, and extra credit. At the end of the year, they will be able to turn them in for prizes. *

We also read 1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. Please have your child work on memorizing this verse. In class they will take turns reciting it.

Next week we will be talking about being God's masterpiece and they will begin constructing a masterpiece of their own.

Week 1

Jesus- name above all names!
Today we started building name tags. I know a few students didn't bring their own legos and that is quite alright seeing it was our first class. Mrs. Desiree brought a huge bucket full of all sorts of legos which she shared with the children, so thankful for my aids.
I explained to the children who didn't have legos, that they can finish the project at home and bring it to our next class.


Next class we will be discussing the names of Jesus. If your child is not yet familiar with His names, now would be a good time to introduce him/her to a few. We will also be sharing the meaning of each child's name.
